Um caso raro, que acontece uma vez a cada 180 milhões de
partos, aconteceu essa semana em Papanduva/SC. Uma vaca deu à luz a quatro bezerros
de uma só vez, sendo que um deles morreu. Conforme informação do proprietário
da rês, a vaca passou por um processo de inseminação artificial, resultando na
cria de dois machos e duas fêmeas.
Casos de quadrigêmeos em vacas são tão pouco frequentes que,
em geral, os criadores se preparam para lidar com a expectativa de um ou, no
máximo, dois filhotes por parto.
A inseminação artificial, utilizada neste caso, é uma
técnica comum na reprodução bovina que pode aumentar a probabilidade de
gestações múltiplas, mas ainda assim o nascimento de quatro bezerros é
considerado uma exceção notável.
