A Polícia Militar Ambiental de Caçador flagrou da manhã de terça-feira, 9, na
comunidade de Cachoeirinha, área rural do município de Lebon Régis, uma
supressão de vegetação nativa e a produção de carvão vegetal.
Diversas árvores foram cortadas, entre elas o pinheiro-brasileiro, que é uma espécie
ameaçada de extinção.
Durante o patrulhamento, os policiais militares localizaram
ainda um forno de carvão onde o proprietário queimava a madeira nativa cortada
na propriedade para a produção e comercialização do produto.
Desta forma, mais de 200 sacos já embalados e prontos para serem
comercializados foram aprendidos.
A área danificada será embargada e o responsável irá ser
responsabilizado administrativamente e penalmente pelos crimes
ambientais.
